“As someone with highly sensitive skin, I know the frustration of beautiful clothing that irritates, restricts or simply does not feel right. That is why I have personally ensured that our designs are a joy to wear — soft, effortless and comfortable.”

3D Appliqué Patches
Traditional applique relies on the backing to hold its shape; we removed the backing entirely and rebuilt the structure inside the thread itself which meant relearning the concept of tension. Hundreds of trials to find the exact pull that lets silk thread hold a form on its own, with nothing underneath it for support. That precision and learning is what lets the same technique produce two completely different results. Ease the tension and the patch turns airy. Pull it tighter and it becomes bold and sculptural, holding a dimension for that traditional applique was never built to achieve. None of that intricacy is meant to be visible. At Modo Caldo, it's meant to disappear into the final piece, and then what you see is just a patch that seems to hold itself up, effortlessly.
Tulles
At Modo Caldo, we focus on redefining what tulle means. It's our signature design language — our way of cancelling out the stereotype that tulle is just net, nothing more. We don't use it as one flat layer. We build with weights — layering tulles of different densities until it stops feeling like a net. The techniques of mapping, folding and layering by hands, helps us attain a form that holds itself while being a soft collapsible structure of the fabric. A net might cover you but a tulle is meant to move with you. This is where we put our research, understanding and science of fabrics to achieve pieces that flow with your movements.
Structural Hourglass Blazers
The extraordinary silhouette of Modo Caldo hourglass blazers is a reward of five years of extensive research, countless trials and sheer technical mastery. Refining internal backings and reinforced layers until the structure is held with near-zero folds, the hourglass blazer holds the power of holding you, and not the other way around.
Sculpted Corsets
After years of learning, unlearning and relearning, studying fits across as many different bodies as we could find, we trained ourselves to design the structure before the aesthetics. From boning that's placed for one silhouette and fails on every other, to boning that's mapped across sizes so it holds you instead of pressing into you. We refused to buy into the idea of generic structures, because the moment structure stops being generic, it stops being uncomfortable. The same boning that used to dig in, disappears into the fit, doing its job without ever announcing itself. Only once that was solved did we let ourselves get to the part we love most — sheer corsets, our signature. Structure and sensuality, held together by boning you genuinely forget is there.
The Mastery in Precision, Detail and Artistry
Our techniques are the result of years of research and refinement. The expertise to craft is not a common find. Every artisan who joins our team undergoes months of extensive learning — recreating and perfecting our specialised methods — so that every piece reflects the precision, innovation and craftsmanship that defines Modo Caldo.
