Jigyasa believes that comfort is the greatest luxury that one can have. Being a person who herself has sensitive skin, she has felt first hand what most of high fashion overlooked. And that was sacrificing comfort in the name of luxury.
So she taught herself how to fix it. A graduate in Textile Design from Pearl Academy, self-taught in everything else, she learned how garments are built and how they could work with skin instead of against it. In 2017, that instinct became Modo Caldo. Built on one belief: design for the woman wearing it, not around her.
Since then, that belief has shaped everything the label makes -structured, comfortable, rooted
in Indian craft. Her work has been recognised nationally and internationally, including designing India's National Costume for Mrs. Universe and Modo Caldo's first award at Diadem Mrs. India Legacy. She's also mentored dozens of
designers through VogueStar Fashion Week and served as a pageant jury member.
What began as a fix for her own body has become a philosophy for every woman who wears Modo Caldo.
And now, for everyone who helps make it too.
Ask Jigyasa about travel, and she won't talk about places - she'll tell you about how they made her feel. About a breeze that reminded her of home, or a stranger's gesture that stayed with her. Leaves caught in motion, chipped paint on a wall, quiet glances between people. She soaks them in, holds on to them, lets them sit in her for a while.
