Jigyasa Jolly founded Modo Caldo after a moment of realisation and self-discovery. While working for other brands, she realised that her individual style was being overshadowed by dominant design aesthetics of the industry. It was in 2015 that she decided to take on an entrepreneurial route, launching her own label after a year of research and self reflection.
Modo Caldo was born with a vision to redefine luxury fashion in India. Initially launched as a B2B label, Jigyasa pivoted to B2C in 2018, with a drive to reduce waste and promote sustainability. Working with physical stores had led to multiple replicas of each style, resulting in deadstock and textile waste. To address the issue, Jigyasa embraced ‘On Demand Production’ making it one of the core values of Modo Caldo.
